The Asian Le Mans Series is the 4 Hours of Shanghai started! Anders Fjordbach and his co-drivers Chris McMurry and Mark Patterson raced today in a Ligier JS P2 in the FP1 . The three finished in P13. The Asian Le Mans Series – Free Practice 1 results can be checked here.

Even if their morning turned out to be a little more difficult than what they were expecting, the professional drivers are optimistic about the race outcomes in the next couple of days

“I’m quite optimistic about our potential here in Shanghai. Everything is new to me; team, car and track, and I’m obviously missing some laps from yesterday, where I sat out. Despite this I had a good feeling through FP1, lapping this circuit for the first time. Combining my best sectors also shows that I’m competitive and in ballpark of the rest. We now have to study the data more closely and put it all together for tomorrow.”, sais Anders Fjordbach, driver for the Algarve Pro Racing team

PeakOptical is supporting Fjordbach’s campaign in the Asian Le Mans Series 2018/2019 season, where he aims to pre-qualify for the 24 Hours of Le Mans, taking place in June 2019. The first round of the Asian Le Mans Series is the 4 Hours of Shanghai taking place from 23rd-25th November 2018.
